UPPSC postpones examination for recruitment of food inspectors

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has postponed the examination for recruitment of 430 food inspectors scheduled on July 24 due to some change in rules,officials said in Lucknow.

The post of food inspectors was advertised on January 23,2010,but due to changes made by the Centre the name of the post and eligibility criteria was changed following which the exams have been cancelled,an official release issued in Lucknow said.

The name of food inspectors have been changed to food security officer,it said,adding that the state was waiting for fresh guidelines by the centre to conduct the examination.
