The ED has moved the Supreme Court challenging the Jharkhand HC order granting bail to JMM leader and CM Hemant Soren in an alleged money laundering case linked to a probe into a land scam. An ED source said the agency moved SC after discussions with its legal team.

A source in the Soren government said, “We are prepared for the worst and have the right strategies in place for any developing situation. In case the bail is overturned, it is a win-win situation for us.”
