Normally a month’s time is given to an accused for appearance after issuance of the proclamation, said Enforcement Directorate counsel S R Das.

The ED had on October 9 booked Koda and several others, including Sinha,in connection with the Rs 4,000 crore money laundering scam.

As a follow up,the Income Tax department, assisted by the ED officials, had raided 70 premises including those of Koda and Sinha and found evidence of hawala transactions and illegal investments of Rs 2,000 crore.

Sinha and Sanjay Choudhary, another aide of Koda, also disregarded summons and arrest warrants of the Income Tax department which were served on November 11.
