A local court today sentenced three persons,including son of a police inspector,to life imprisonment for murdering a shoe company owner in Sakchi here here nearly four years ago here.

Additional Sessions Judge,Pankaj Kumar ordered life term to Amlesh Singh,Vinod Singh and Jitender Singh alias Pappu don for killing the owner of ‘Sreeleathers’ Ashis Dey on November 2,2007.

The judge also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the convict.

While Amlesh Singh is the eldest son of the secretary of the Jharkhand Police Association,Vinod Singh a hotelier. Two accused Akhilesh Singh and Vikram Sharma are absconding.

Akhilesh,younger brother of Amlesh,who was undergoing life sentence for a murder since 2006 in Hazaribag jail,had fled while on a parole in 2008.

Dey was shot dead when he was going from his house to his showroom by a motorcycle.
