Meena demands CBI probe into tribal woman rape case

Kirorilal Meena,Independent MP from Dausa,demanded a CBI probe into the alleged rape of a tribal woman involving a former IPS officer,and the murder cases against assembly speaker Deependra Singh Shekhawat and cooperative minister Parsadilal Meena.
An investigation by the Special Operation Group in the rape case allegedly involving former DIG Madhukar Tandon would not be sufficient and the CBI should take up the matter forthwith,Meena said at a press conference here while introducing the victims and their relatives.
The alleged rape victim,with her face veiled and flanked by husband Khayali Ram,told reporters they were receiving threat calls from unknown persons after the MP revived the demand for justice.
The woman was allegedly abducted and raped by Tandon in January 1997.
Meanwhile,demanding a CBI probe against Deependra Singh Shekhawat,Meena alleged that Raghunath Guvaria,a Dalit,was beaten to death by the speaker’s men on May 15,2009 for not changing his statement in a corruption case.
“Influencing police and the state CID-crime branch,the speaker eluded himself from the FIR lodged with Srimadhopur police station in Raghunat case,” Meena said distributing photocopies of the case to media persons.
