A court in Koderma on Saturday rejected the bail petition of Sudha Pathak,mother of Delhi-based journalist and victim of suspected honour killing Nirupama Pathak. The petition,filed on June 23,came up in the court of additional district and session judge,fast track,N N Singh,who rejected it. This was the second time that Pathak's bail petition was rejected. On May 15 the court had first rejected her petition. Pathak was arrested and remanded to judicial custody in connection with her 22-year-old daughter's death on April 29 at her home. The police have also filed a case of rape and abetment to suicide against Nirupama's boyfriend Priyabhanshu Ranjan,also a journalist,at the direction of the court.
