A Delhi court on Saturday sent three main accused in the sensational honour killing case here to judicial custody for 12 days. Metropolitan Magistrate Satish Kumar remanded the accused Mandeep Nagar (23),Ankit Chaudhury (22) and Nakul Khari (21) to judicial custody till July 14 after the city police submitted that no further custodial interrogation was required. The accused,who were arrested on June 24 by the Uttar Pradesh police from Garhmukteshwar,were on the run after allegedly killing Monica,24,along with her husband Kuldeep,26,for marrying outside caste,and Shobha,who too had eloped with a man belonging to a different caste. The three allegedly carried out the murders on June 20 at Ashok Vihar in north-west Delhi as they were said to be angry with their relatives for "sullying" the honour of their family by marrying outside caste. Police have registered two separate FIRs,one in connection with the murder of Shobha and another for killing Ankit's sister Monica along with her husband Kuldeep. Another accused in the murder case,Shintu,who was brought from Ghaziabad jail,was sent to judicial custody yesterday.
