The Thane district police have arrested a woman and her four sons from Rajasthan on the charges of abduction and rape of an eleven years old girl from Bhayander in the district. The accused were identified as Naresh Prajapati,Ganpat Prajapati,Bharat Prajapati,Kisan Prajapati and Jinidevi Prajapati. All of them were remanded in police custody till October 20,after they were brought here yesterday. Police Inspector D M Pingle of the Navghar police station said that the victim,who lived in Goddeo locality of Bhayander,went missing on May 1. Police from Pali district of Rajasthan found her abandoned on the roadside in July. Medical examination revealed that she had been sexually assaulted. According to the police,the accused,who were neighbours of the girl's family in Navaghar,abducted her and brought her to Rajasthan. She was held captive and raped. Later,they tried to disfigure her face by hitting her with stone,and left her to die,when Pali police spotted her.
