Contractual staffer found hanging at Air Chief’s home

A 30-year-old contractual employee allegedly hanged himself inside the servant quarters of Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa��s residence on Thursday afternoon, police said.

According to a senior police officer, Manoj Kumar was working at Dhanoa’s residence on 23 Akbar Road. “He was not a permanent employee. On the day of the incident, he came to the servant quarters and allegedly committed suicide. The occupant of the quarter called police,” the officer said, adding that no suicide note has been found so far. DCP (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said inquest proceedings are underway and the body has been shifted to Ram Lal Anand mortuary.
