Coimbatore: Mobile grievance redressal van launched

The van will be at the office of each zone for one day and travel to wards attached to it and receive petitions.

In order to redress grievances of citizens expeditiously, the city corporation today launched Mobile grievances Van, which will visit all the five zones every week.

Launching the van, the state municipal administration minister, S P Velumani said people can place their grievances, suggestions and complaints in a box attached to the van, which will reach their wards and zones on a particular day.

Corporation Commissioner, Vijay Karthikeyan said the van will be at the office of each zone for one day and travel to wards attached to it and receive petitions.

He will open the grievances box in the evening and take remedial measures, with the assistance of other officials, Vijay Karthikeyan said.

Earlier, at a review meeting, Velumani asked officials to be prepared to meet any eventuality in view of the rain which has started lashing the district.
