The CBI has filed its second chargesheet against six persons in the NEET-UG paper leak case, alleging that the principal and the vice-principal of Oasis School in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, had conspired with others to steal the 2024 question paper. “This chargesheet has been filed against six accused including Baldev Kumar, Sunny Kumar, Dr Ahsanul Haque, principal of Oasis School and Hazaribagh city coordinator, Md Imtiyaz Alam, vice-principal and centre superintendent, Jamaluddin alias Jamal, a daily reporter and Aman Kumar Singh,” a CBI spokesperson said. “Probe revealed that Dr Haque, in his capacity as the city coordinator for the NEET-UG exam, with Md Imtiyaz Alam and others conspired to steal NEET-UG paper.” They were booked under sections 109 (abetment), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), 409 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 380 (theft) and 411 (dishonestly getting stolen property). The CBI, which has arrested 48 accused so far, has identified the beneficiary candidates and shared their details with the NTA. On August 1, the CBI filed the first chargesheet against 13 accused.
