According to police, an incident occurred on Thursday, when the woman, while ironing his clothes, took his helmet from the ironing table and placed it on the floor. Provoked over this, Paramasivan allegedly assaulted her and tried to strangulate her with an electric cable.

Following the assault, the woman walked out of the house. Subsequently, Paramasivan filed a missing person complaint with local police, who then tracked down the woman.
