9 BJP candidates, including party president J P Nadda, elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha

BJP ally JD(U)'s Sanjay Jha was also elected unopposed from Bihar.

BJP president JP Nadda was declared elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha, from Gujarat, on Tuesday.

Three other BJP candidates from Gujarat — Govindbhai Dholakia, Mayank Nayak and Jayantsinh Parmar — were also elected unopposed, as there was no other candidate for the four vacant seats.

BJP candidates Chunnilal Gadasia and Madan Rathore were elected unopposed from Rajasthan.

The party’s candidates Dharmashila Gupta and Bhim Singh were elected unopposed to the Upper House from Bihar, as there were only six candidates for the six vacant seats from the state. The saffron party’s candidate from Uttarakhand was also declared elected unopposed.

BJP ally JD(U)’s Sanjay Jha was also elected unopposed from Bihar.
