Hinting at a probable date for implementation of Uniform Civil Code, Delhi BJP leader Kapil Mishra on Friday said as August 5 is coming again, Uniform Civil Code (UCC) too is coming.
Pointing out the significance of the date, Mishtra tweeted: “Ram Mandir’s decision was taken on 5th August. Section 370 removed on 5 August. August 5 is also coming and Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is also coming. Jai Shri Ram.”

5 अगस्त को हटी धारा 370
5 अगस्त भी आने वाला है और यूनिफार्म सिविल कोड (UCC) भी
जय श्री राम

Mishra’s tweet comes just days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi pitched for Uniform Civil Code (UCC), and said: “Today people are being instigated in the name of UCC. How can the country be run on two (laws)? The Constitution also talks of equal rights…Supreme Court has also asked to implement UCC.”
Modi’s statement drew flak from the Opposition parties, including the Congress, who accused him of resorting to “divisive politics” to divert attention from his government’s failure on many fronts.
On June 14, the 22nd Law Commission invited the views of the public and “recognised” religious organisations on the UCC within 30 days.
