Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who is known for highlighting social issues through his films, is planning the sequel of his 2008 film ‘Fashion’ in mid 2016.
‘Fashion 2’ will have a fresh subject to tell and will be a love triangle.
Madhur Bhandarkar, who is also known for portrayal of strong female protagonists in his films, will be finalising a top actress for the sequel.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to twitter to share the news.
The 2008 film had actress Priyanka Chopra in the lead role alongwith Kangana Ranaut, Mugdha Godse, Arjan Bajwa and Arbaaz Khan in supporting roles.
‘Fashion’ was story of a model, a small town girl, who aspires to become a supermodel but soon she has to pay the price for her glamorous life.
Priyanka and Kangana had won National Award for their roles in the film.
