Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday instructed officials to ensure that every school in the state has an adequate number of teachers. Over the past five years, female students have consistently outshined their male counterparts in the UP Board Class 10 examinations, showing a steady upward trend in performance year after year.

In the 2024 Class 10 results, girls achieved an impressive pass percentage of 93.40%, while boys stood at 86.05%, marking a 7.35% lead for girls.

In 2023, girls once again led with a pass percentage of 93.34%, continuing their dominance.

In 2022, boys secured 85.25%, whereas girls crossed the 90% mark with 91.69%.

In 2021, both genders recorded exceptionally high pass percentages—99.55% for girls and 99.52% for boys—reflecting the pandemic-era evaluation policies.

In 2020, 87.29% of the 12,81,842 registered girls passed the exam (11,18,914), while 11,90,888 of the 14,90,814 registered boys qualified.

In 2019, female candidates saw a significant 5.17% increase in pass percentage, reaching 83.98%, compared to 76.66% for male candidates.

In 2018, girls recorded a pass percentage of 78.81%, outperforming boys who scored 72.27%.

These statistics highlight the consistent academic strength and improvement of female students in UP Board Class 10 examinations over the years.

To pass the UP Board High School, Inter exams, students are required to score a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. In 2024, the pass percentage for Class 10 stood at 89.55%, while 82.60% of Class 12 students successfully cleared the exams.

After UPMSP announces Class 10 and 12 annual exam results, it will also release the date sheet for the Compartment/Improvement exams. These exams are held in July. Last year, the UP Board compartment exam results were announced in August.

A total of 18,882 students (14,619 boys and 4,263 girls) appeared for their Class 10 exams. Out of 23,634 registered students (13,395 boys and 10,239 girls), 22,298 students appeared—12,518 boys and 9,780 girls. Among them, 20,284 students passed the exam, including 11,369 boys and 8,915 girls. The overall pass percentage stood at 90.97%, with boys achieving a pass rate of 90.82% and girls slightly ahead at 91.16%.

In 2023, Shubh Chapra from Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College in Charkhari, Mahoba district, emerged as the highest scorer for the intermediate exams, achieving an outstanding score of 489 out of 500. Sharing the joint second position were Saurabh Gangwar from SVM IC Bisalpur, Pilibhit, and Anamika from CH S Singh IC, Jaswant Nagar, Etawah, both securing a score of 486 out of 500.

The overall pass percentage of girls for the UP Board Inter exam is 88.42 per cent and boys 77.78 per cent. The success rate of females is higher as compared to their counterparts with a difference of 10.64 per cent. The overall pass percentage for Class 10 is 89.78 per cent, boys secured a pass percentage of 86 per cent, while girls secured a pass percentage of 93 per cent.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), Prayagraj has concluded the UP Board Class 10th and 12th board examinations. As many as 25.56 lakh students appeared for the UP Board High School examination, while 25.77 lakh students took the Uttar Pradesh Board Intermediate examination.
