The UP board result 2023 have been released from the Prayagraj office. The Inter students can check their score at the official websites of the board — upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in.
UP Board Class 12 students who secure 35 per cent or more marks will be declared as passed while those who score less, will have to sit for the compartment test.
This year the pass percentage stood at 75.52 per cent, girls secured a pass percentage of 83 per cent, the pass percentage for boys was 69.34 per cent

Out of the total 25,71,002 students who appeared for the exam, 19,41,717 students cleared the exam. Out of those who cleared the exam, 9,76,059 were boys and 9,65,658 were girls.

Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board, Dibyakant Shukla also extended his best wishes to the students.

In order to curb the menace of cheating, over 3 lakh CCTV cameras with voice recorder were installed in all the rooms across 8753 exam centres.
In comparison from 2022, this year there has been a rise of 2.73 per cent in candidates who secured first division, while there has been a dip of 5.32 per cent in the overall pass percentage
There were 14,07,572 male students and 11,63,430 were female students out of the total 25,71,002 students.
Shubh Chapra of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Charkhari, Mahoba district became the state topper with 489 out of 500 marks.
A total of 17,98,942 regular students and 1,42,775 private students cleared the exam. The pass percentage for regular students is 74.60 per cent, while the pass percentage for private students is 89.46 per cent.
In Class 12, a total of 25,85,718 regular students registered fo the exam out of which 24,11,402 students appeared. A total of 1,82,462 students registered privately out of which 1,59,600 students appeared taking the total number of appeared students to 25,71,002.
One student scored 489 out of 500, two students scored 486 out of 500, three students scored 485 out of 500 and five students scored 484 out of 500.
This year the overall pass percentage stood at 75.52 per cent, girls out performed boys with securing 83 per cent pass percentage while boys secured 69.34 per cent pass percentage. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will announce the results for board exams 2023 at 1:30 pm at a press conference in Prayagraj. Over 27.69 lakh candidates took the exam for class 12.
The examinations were conducted at 8,753 examination centres across UP. The state government made arrangements to ensure that unfair means were not used in the examinations. Two CCTV cameras, voice recorders and routers were installed in each room of each examination centre
In a tweet, board secretary, Dibyakant Shukla said that fraudsters try obtain money from students in the name of increasing their marks. He asserted that the board does not offer any such facility and urge students and parents to report these numbers.

Rajesh Mishra aka Pappu Bhartaul is a former MLA. Students appearing for UP board exam at a Bareilly centre were surprised to see him as a candidate.Mishra said that though he has a keen interest in Science, he appeared from the Arts stream so that he could become a lawyer. During a videoconference on January 30, 2018, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had warned District Magistrates and District Inspectors of Schools (DIOS) that they would be held responsible if unfair means were used at centres in their jurisdictions.
The crackdown by Adityanath recalls similar steps taken by another BJP Chief Minister 27 years ago. Last year's overall pass percentage was a drop from the year before as in 2021, the pass percentage for class 12 was 97.88 per cent. This might have been a ripple effect of the Covid pandemic, which pushed boundaries of students across the world. The 2021 result was a dip compared to 2020 as Class 12 recorded the pass percentage of 74.63 per cent. This was a good increase from 2019 when the overall pass percentage was 70.06 per cent.

To calculate your UP 12th result percentage, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Add the total number of all your papers to get the percentage of total marks. For example, 500 marks for 5 subjects.
Step 2: Add up all the marks you have secured in each subject.

A total of 51,92,616 candidates had registered for their intermediate and high school board examination this year.
