The exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE for admission into various professional courses offered in university/private colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
As many as 8,529 candidates were not given ranks though they qualified in the entrance test, because they had failed in intermediate (Class XII) examination.
Medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh are exempt from EAMCET, as students are now selected through NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) at the all-India level.
The counselling for admission into engineering and agriculture colleges would begin from May 26. Classes would commence from June 11, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, minister for higher education, said at a press conference in Vijayawada today.

A total of 1,38,017 candidates, out of 1,90,922 who appeared for the exam, passed. The pass percentage saw a decrease this year at 72.28 per cent. In the agriculture stream, 73,373 candidates appeared for the exam, of which 63,883 qualified. The pass percentage stood at 87.6.

Bhogi Suraj Krishna, who also topped AP EAMCET, solved previous five years questions every day for the JEE Main 2018 exam. Besides NCERT books, he followed HC Verma’s book on Physics. “In Physics, non-mechanical part is quite important. The second part of Section A which carries chapters on current electricity, magnetic effects on current and magnetism, electromagnetic waves, optics are quite important, as it carries analytical and concept-based questions,” he said.
A total of 322 colleges, including 17 government colleges and 305 private colleges will offer admissions for 1,53,150 seats across the state. The AP EAMCET 2018 examination was conducted online from April 22 to 25.
Instead of mugging notes and concentrating on topics that can fetch more marks, Krishna's focus always remains learning and understanding topics. “I was fond of science books. So even when my Class 10 exams got over, I started reading a chapter from NCERT books thoroughly, solved every doubt by consulting teacher or through reference books. This not only helped me score well, but this knowledge will guide me throughout my life.”
Vijaywada’s Bhogi Suraj Krishna secured AIR 1 rank in the JEE Main 2018, scoring 350 marks out of 360. He was confident of his performance when the answer keys were released by CBSE, however, he did not expect to grab the top position.
The counselling for AP EAMCET is likely to be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada in June 2018. The counselling will be held online. The counselling process involves payment of fees, verification of submitted documents, choice filling and reporting to the alloted institute. The qualified candidates will have to submit AP EAMCET counselling fees before they appear for the same. Document verification will require the candidate to vist the institute. They must carry the seat allotment letter along with the required documents. In case of failure to report at the institute, the candidate's allotment will be cancelled.
JEE Main topper Bhogi Suraj Krishna added another feather to his cap as he secured AIR 1 in the AP EAMCET 2018 examination.
The ranking will be based on candidate's normalised AP EAMCET score, which carries 75 per cent weightage and the marks of 10+2 carrying 25 per cent weightage.

AP EAMCET results 2018 declared at sche.ap.gov.in by the HRD Minister of Andhra Pradesh. This year, as many as 1.38 lakh students have qualified the AP EAMCET. In the engineering stream, 72.28 per cent students pass. The pass percentage for medicine is at 87.6 per cent.

Vutukuri Venkata Anirudh secured AIR 1 in the Agriculture and Medical stream in the AP EAMCET 2018. Dogga Sandeep bagged the second position and Nunna Himaja was at the third place.
Last year, AP EAMCET results for engineering, medical and agriculture streams were declared on May 5 and Telangana's Mohan Abhyas Telangana topped the engineering stream exam. He also secured AIR 6 in the JEE Main. Avvari Sai S S V Bharadwaj and Satyan Ralham bagged the second and third rank respectively.

This year, 11:35 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Mains of which 815005 were boys while 320077. In the offline exam, 857564 students appeared while in the online exam that was held on April 16 and 17, a total of 216755 candidates had given exam. As many as 2,31,024 aspirants have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2018.
For B.Tech. (Ag. Engineering), B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (FS & T), only those applicants were eligible who have completed 17 years of age as on December 31. The upper age limit is 22 years for all the aspirants. The upper age limit for SC/ST Candidates is 25 years as on December 31 of the year of admissions.

The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2018 will be held by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad from May 2. The exam for medical and agriculture will be held on May 2 and 3 and for engineering will be conducted on May 4, 5 and 7. The exam is carried out for admission into various professional courses offered in university/private colleges.
As per reports, more than 2.74 lakh students appeared for the test. Out of these, 1.98 lakh students aspire to join engineering courses while the remaining 75,550 students have registered for the agriculture and other enrolled courses
As per reports, 94.98 per cent candidates appeared for the AP EAMCET 2018 last month. The merit list, toppers' name will be released today by the Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at 12 pm.
