Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, has issued a series of important notifications concerning undergraduate examinations, subject selections under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), and changes in the upcoming exam schedule.
In its first circular, Magadh University has flagged discrepancies reported by several colleges regarding the uploading of Practical/ CIA (70+30) marks for UG CBCS students of the 2023 – 27 and 2024 – 28 batches.
A second notice addresses rising complaints from colleges that students have mistakenly selected incorrect subjects or filled their course choices inaccurately on the university portal for the 2025-29 CBCS session. Such errors have caused mismatches in the major course (MJC) and minor course (MILC) allotments.
The university clarified that principals and center superintendents must verify and validate each student’s subject selection before submission. Colleges have been reminded that instructions for correct subject updation were issued earlier through Letter No. CEO/170/2025, dated July 14, 2025.
The university has warned that applications received without proper verification will automatically be rejected by the portal, urging colleges to follow procedures strictly to avoid future complications.
In a third notification, Magadh University announced the postponement of the UG CBCS third semester (2024-28 batch) major course (MJC) 3 and MJC 4 examinations scheduled for November 25 and November 26, 2025. Citing unavoidable reasons, the university has rescheduled these papers to December 2 and December 4, 2025 respectively. The timings and shifts will remain unchanged. All other examinations will be held as per the original timetable.
Students and college authorities have been advised to take note of the revised dates and comply with the updated guidelines to avoid further issues. The university has indicated that strict monitoring will continue to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and academic processes across affiliated institutions.
