Pinarayi Vijayan in unholy nexus with ‘Islamic extremists’, plans to make son-in-law future Kerala CM: BJP leader
BJP national vice-president A P Abdullakutty said Vijayan was using his son-in-law and minister Mohammed Riyas Riyas for all corrupt dealings in the public works and tourism departments.

BJP national vice-president A P Abdullakutty Monday alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had made an unholy nexus with “Islamic extremists” and “jihadis” to make his son-in-law P A Mohammed Riyas, the incumbent minister for public works department and tourism, a future chief minister of the state.
Addressing a party convention in Kannur, Abdullakutty said, “For the son-in-law, Vijayan has converted the party into Communist Party of India-Muslim. Pinarayi plans to make Riyas the state’s chief minister in the future. For this, he made an alliance with all Muslim extremists and jihadis.”
Abdullakutty, who had served as a CPI(M) MP for two terms before the party sacked him, said the BJP would resist any move to make Riyas the next chief minister.
The BJP leader said bribe money from various deals had gone to the CPI(M). “After the party has gone into the hands of Vijayan, the bribe money flows to a single family. Vijayan is using Riyas for all corrupt dealings in the public works and tourism departments. For the last seven years, Kerala has been witnessing the worst government (in its history). There is corruption in every deal and project. All the rivers of corruption are flowing to a single sea, and Vijayan has made his official residence a sea of corruption,” he said.
Referring to the suicide of a minor Muslim girl at a religious institution in Thiruvananthapuram, Abdullakutty said the madrassa where the incident happened did not have permission to run a hostel for minors. “Does Vijayan have the courage to close down that illegal hostel at that madrassa,” he said.
