A 22-year-old man was brutally murdered with sharp weapons by a group of armed youngsters in Dahanukar Colony in Kothrud on Thursday night.
Police said the deceased Shrinu Shankar Vislawat was a resident of Lakshmi Nagar, Dahanukar Colony. The deceased’s 17-year-old friend lodged the FIR in this case at Alankar police station on Friday.
During investigation, crime branch sleuths nabbed five assailants including a minor. Police said that Shrinu and the complainant were riding a two wheeler in a lane in Dahanukar Colony on Thursday night. Around 11.45 pm, the assailants came to the spot and rammed their motorcycle into the two wheeler.

When Shrinu and the complainant fell to the ground with the vehicle, the assailants attacked them with sharp weapons. The complainant managed to escape from the spot, but Shrinu could not run far. The assailants chased Shrinu and nabbed him around 12.15 am and killed him with sharp weapons.
