A man and a woman died in two separate road accidents in the city on Friday. The Scorpio driver in one of the cases has not yet been identified. The truck driver in the second case has been identified and arrested by the police. A 35-year-old man,Riyaz Mujavar,died after he was hit by a speeding Scorpio car on the street behind Ashok society in Kondhva on Friday afternoon at 4:30 pm. Police have got the number of the car and the search for the driver is on. Mujavar was a resident of Kondhva budruk. Police sub inspector MB Kolekar of Kondhva police station in investigating the case further. In another accident,Usha Chopda (33) was killed after a speeding truck truck hit her while she was riding a moped on Shivneri road in Market yard area. Three year old son of Chopda was also on her moped with her and has survived with minor injuries. Police sources said Chopda was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred. The 22-year-old truck driver,Prakash Hake,resident of Parali in Beed district has been arrested by police. PSI Gayakhe is investigating the case further.
