The narco analysis test of the six accused in the three-year-old murder case of techie Darshana Tongare concluded on Tuesday. The other three tests brain mapping,polygraph and psycho-analysis have begun. Darshana,then 21,was stabbed by unidentified persons on the night of July 30,2010. She succumbed to her wounds a few hours later at a nearby hospital. The case,which was earlier being investigated by the Hinjewadi police,had been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in December 2012,following a Bombay High Court order. The court order came after Darshanas brother Ketan moved the High Court. CID SP Sadanand Wayse Patil is investigating the case. CID officers have confirmed that narco analysis was done on six persons one of Darshanas friends,some relatives of her from Nashik and two auto-rickshaw drivers from Pune. The remaining three tests are expected to be over within a week,said an officer. Hinjewadi police and the Crime Branch had interrogated 657 labourers,working at 16 construction sites nearby and recorded their statements. Police have also sent teams to Karnataka for further probe but could not get any leads.
