The Estique Hotels,as a part of their corporate social responsibility have undertaken a programme that involves hospitality management education to underpreviliged students. Undertaken three years ago,the first batch of students is all set to hit the industry with the skills acquired during the three-year training programme at the hotel. During the tenure,the students,selected with the help of organisations such as LABS,CASP,AASHRAY,SOS and SAMPARC are trained on various aspects related to the hotel industry grooming them to be professionals who can make effective careers out of the service industry. Some of the aspects of the training include- personality development workshops,social skills,spoken English training and so on. The students are also provided a basic stipend during the tenure of the course. while the first two years focus on orientation through various departments of the hotel,the last year focuses on the specialisation decided by the students themselves.

Right act
Members of the Giants Group of Pune Metro visited Nivara (David Sasoon Anath Pangu Griha) yesterday to meet the residents and interacted with them. Apart from donating 100 kilos of groceries,the members spent some valuable time with the Nivara residents there and also took pictures with them. Nivara residents too were happy to be in company. The members were taken on a campus tour where they saw the facilities at the old age home. Nivara’s secretary Nirmalatai Sovani briefed the group about Nivara and its activities. And they also discussed the financial aspect,their residence behavior and how they are working on that. The members of Giant group complemented Nivara on its cleanliness and good work.
