Take up time-bound rehab for dam-affected,says Kadam

Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Patangrao Kadam on Friday took stock of the rehabilitation work regarding dam projects in Pune district,mainly Daund taluk.

Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Patangrao Kadam on Friday took stock of the rehabilitation work regarding dam projects in Pune district,mainly Daund taluk. The minister asked the additional collectors concerned to ready a time-bound programme to implement the programme.

Pune divisional commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh and Pune district collector Vikas Deshmukh also attended the meeting. Divisional commissioner Deshmukh said after a review of the rehabilitation situation of the dam-affected the minister said the list of programmes to be taken up should be prepared in two months.

The minister asked the additional collector to conduct camps in the areas so that there was no further delay in implementing the rehabilitation schemes. The distict collector said the minister also discussed methods to be taken up to implement the schemes effectively.

The meeting was also attended by MLA Ramesh Thorat and MLA Ashok Pawar who took up rehabilitation issues pertaining to Daund and Shirur taluks in the district.
