The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Thursday said it will file criminal cases against banks failing to furnish the details of gold coins that were sold by the respective banks as the civic body lost revenue of a few crore of rupees till now.
Of the 63 banks,17 banks have responded to the notice of the civic body. The dues from these banks amount to Rs 18 crore, PMC octroi chief Rajendra Muthe said.
He,however,said that the last date for the banks to submit details on the transactions through gold coins is October 18. Those not responding will face criminal action, Muthe said.
