A 32-year-old constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his residence on Monday. Police said he was under stress due to deaths of his father and brother one after the other in the past four months and this may have led to the extreme step.

The constable,Dnyaneshwar Hanumant Shinde, was attached to Dehu Road police station under Pune rural jurisdiction. He was found dead around 9.15 am at his Dehu Road police colony residence.
