The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP-led Mahayuti government on Friday invited NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar to attend the mega job fair, NaMo Maharojgar Melava, being organised in Baramati on Saturday but turned down the veteran leader’s invitation for lunch citing busy schedule.
“I have received your letter and I am thankful for your invitation for lunch. You are aware that the mega job fair, NaMO Maharojgar Melava, has been organized in Baramati on the initiative of deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. Considering the busy schedule in Baramati and later foundation stone laying ceremony of Sambhaji Maharaj memorial in Vadhu Budhruk and Tulapur as well as social reformer Lahuji Vastad Salve memorial, alongwith two other functions, we will be very busy the entire day. Thus, it is not possible to accept the invitation for this time,” Fadnavis said in a communication to Sharad Pawar.

With CM Eknath Shinde and his two deputies set to attend the NaMo Maharojgar Melava in Baramati, the mega job fair will be a show of strength for the Mahayuti alliance ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, in which a tough contest is likely between Supriya Sule of NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) faction and Sunetra Pawar, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Both parties have started intense publicity campaigns in the constituency with leaders taking a dig at each other.
The job fair will carry out recruitment for 55,072 posts in over 350 private companies in various sectors such as manufacturing, service, agriculture, automobile, banking, BPO, chemical, construction, energy, food, healthcare, software, pharma and retail.
