Ruby Hall Clinic partners with Central Railway, opens 24X7 emergency medical room, pharmacy

The inaugural function took place on Wednesday. Dr Milind Hirve, Sr DCM Railway, Dr Ramdas Bishe, DCM Railway, Dr N K Sajeev CMS Railway Hospital, and Jyoti Prakash Mahapatra, CFO, Ruby Hall Clinic were present on the occasion.

“The need for such a facility cannot be overstated, given the frequent medical emergencies that arise during train journeys. Heart attacks, strokes, train accidents, falls on the rail, and general emergencies and train accidents at railway stations are common occurrences that necessitate immediate medical attention,” Dr Grant said.

He added, “The lack of a well-equipped medical facility in proximity to the railway station often results in delayed response times and can have grave consequences. Recognizing this pressing need, Ruby Hall Clinic and the Central Railway Association have come together to address this critical issue.”

The 24×7 emergency medical room will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and staffed by a team of trained medical professionals. A dedicated pharmacy will ensure that essential medications are readily available. “Our goal is to provide them with the best possible medical care at the earliest, reducing trauma cases and saving more lives,” Dr Grant said.

Dr Prasad Muglikar, Medical Director at Ruby Hall Clinic, said late medical intervention and attention in accident cases or during medical emergencies has caused a large number of deaths. “At Ruby Hall Clinic, we wanted to initiate timely medical attention to save as many lives as we could. This initiative’s potential will make a significant impact in Pune,” Dr Muglikar said.
