Rohan Jaitha wins invitational Barclays Golf

Rohan Jaitha clinched the first-ever Barclays Invitational Charity Golf event held at the Oxford Golf and Country Club on Saturday.

Rohan Jaitha clinched the first-ever Barclays Invitational Charity Golf event held at the Oxford Golf and Country Club on Saturday. The promising young amateur,Jaitha (-6) won with a tally of 42 points,while Taresh Menon finished second with 38 points.

A golf clinic was also conducted for 25 of Barclays invitees by pros like Aditya Kanitkar and Sachin Nigade,and was managed by First Tee Golf Solutions,a city-based golf services company.

The brainchild of Abhaya Gupta,senior executive at the BTCI,the tournament featured prominent city-based golfers.

“The golf event was a grand success,and we were able to meet our fund-raising objectives from this event and collect an amount of close to 8 lakh rupees for charity. We intend to make this an annual feature,and have already made plans for a much bigger event next year,”said Gupta.
