When Yogita Shah told her twin son and daughter at the start of the academic year,I want both of you to score the same marks in your boards, little did she know that her jest would turn into reality. Her twin children,Charmi Shah and Chintan Shah, students of SM Choksey High School and Junior College in Camp, have scored 91.45 per cent each in the SSC exams. The marksheets for the exam were distributed on Monday.
It was a pleasant surprise for Yogita and her civil engineer husband Jayesh Shah. Before they started preparing for the exams,I had told them that I wanted them to score the same marks. They had said it was impossible but I don’t know how they made it possible, said Yogita.
For the twins,it was a great co-incidence. It’s not like we used to sit and study together. We only used to discuss the difficult portions when we had confusions, said Charmi. Incidentally, this is not the first time that the duo scored the same marks. When we were in Class IV,we scored 94 per cent each and we also scored same marks in our Class IV scholarship exam, added Chintan.
Both Chintan and Charmi have always been popular with teachers for excellence in academics and extra curricular activities. Both the children have always been very sincere in their studies. Both would participate in elocution and Charmi is also a Bharatnatyam dancer, said a proud Neeta Lodhi, the principal of the school.
As for their future plans, they do not plan to choose the same discipline. While Charmi wants to pursue CA,I want to become an engineer, said Chintan.
