Rainfall in central parts of Maharashtra to slow down

Incidentally, Pune has moved up from deficiency and has registered surplus rainfall.

The first two weeks of July saw good rainfall but its intensity has decreased, according to the Met department.

The offshore trough near Andhra Pradesh will give good rain to the Konkan region but for the coming two to three days, Madhya Maharashtra, which includes Pune, Vidarbha and Marathwada, will see a decrease in rainfall.

Met officials have said isolated showers will be registered in these areas. Incidentally, Pune has moved up from deficiency and has registered surplus rainfall. “We are at 31 mm surplus rainfall presently and hope that after three to four days of low rainfall activity, it will again pick up,’’ stated Met officials.
