As many as 64,000 citizens have used the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s (PCMC) online service for issuing ‘No Tax Dues Certificates’ for properties. The service was launched in March 2022 and from April to July 2025 alone, 13,213 citizens have used the platform.
The certificate, which confirms that no tax is pending against a particular property, was earlier issued only through physical applications at PCMC offices – often requiring multiple visits. To streamline the process, PCMC’s Property Tax Department introduced the online facility on the corporation’s official website, enabling property owners to download the certificate instantly, free of cost, officials said.
The service has proved to be a hit among citizens, who can now get the document within minutes from the comfort of their homes by simply entering their registered mobile number or property ID, authenticating via OTP, and downloading the certificate directly.
“We are committed to expanding the use of digital technology in PCMC’s operations so that citizens can access essential services without visiting the office. The online ‘No Tax Dues Certificate’ facility is an important step in that direction – saving time and eliminating hurdles for residents,” said Pradip Jambhale Patil, Additional Commissioner, PCMC
“The online service has removed a major inconvenience for citizens. Earlier, they had to spend time and effort visiting our offices, but now they can obtain the certificate in minutes from home. We are working to make this service even simpler and more useful,” said Avinash Shinde, Assistant Commissioner, Property Tax Department, PCMC.
