Officials said that these drills will be conducted at time in the window from Thursday evening till Friday midnight at three locations — the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganesh Temple, College of Agriculture and High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
“Every year, NSG chooses a city for the conduct of its security preparedness mock drills. This year, Pune was chosen for these exercises. Out of a pool of several sensitive locations in Pune, the three were chosen. Another officer added, “These drills will cover various counter terrorism scenarios, related security concerns and joint responses by commandos of specialised forces, local police and other entities.”
