Pune: 2 held with MD worth Rs 6.5 Lakh in Wakad, search on for Nigerian drug peddler
Ajit Kute of the Anti Narcotics Cell of the Pimpri Chinchwad police branch lodged the first information report (FIR) in this case at the Hinjewadi police station on Saturday.

Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested two persons in possession of the banned drug Mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 6.5 lakh.
Police have identified the accused persons as Imran Chand Shaikh (42), resident of Mitha Nagar, Kondhwa and Sameer Shahjahan Shaikh (40), resident of Mahim in Mumbai.

Police arrested two suspects near Bhujbal chowk in Wakad on Saturday morning. During searches, cops recovered 65 grams of MD along with some cash and three cell phones from the duo.
Probe revealed that the accused had procured the seized MD from a Nigerian national identified as Tony, who is a resident of Nalasopara in Mumbai.
Police have launched a search for Tony. Assistant police inspector Ajitkumar Khatal of the Hinjewadi police station is investigating the case further.
