A 15-year -old boy was murdered by his uncle following a petty quarrel at Narhe on Friday night. Police have identified the deceased as Ashok Gajkosh (15), resident of Dharavi in Mumbai. The accused Meghnath Ashok Tapase (41), resident of Manaji Nagar in Narhe was arrested on charges of murder. An FIR in this case was lodged at the Sinhagad road police station. A prima facie probe by the police has revealed that Ashok had come to his uncle’s house in the city. He had some quarrel with his uncle’s son, after which the accused was angry and attacked Gajkosh with a kitchen knife. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the doctors pronounced him dead. After receiving information a team of Sinhagad road police station led by senior inspector Dilip Daingade initiated a probe. “The deceased came to his uncle’s house about three days before. He was a school dropout from Dharavi. We have arrested the accused,” said Daingade.
