Teachers are very important in a childs life after their parents and they play a very important role in shaping up the childs personality. Today,we felicitated a few such teachers who have done commendable work in this field and shown tremendous eagerness in bringing about a change in the students lives, said Madhavi Kapur, managing trustee of foundation running Aman Setu.
Reena Bonagiri, trustee of the foundation said,It is very important to recognise the efforts of these teachers as they are an inevitable part of a childs life. And the fact that the names of these teachers were suggested by the principals will inspire them to work harder.
The teachers also held a discussion on the theory of systems thinking, which aims at looking at the problems of a child from a different perspective. Kiran Singh, principal,Shiva Valley School,Khergaon, said,Today, there is a lot of awareness about the teaching profession and the whole system is going through a change. The systems thinking is a theory which aims, not at solving a problem that a child faces, but dissolving the problem. This kind of an approach is very important in todays world.
Shobha Vijaykumar, teacher,New English School,Hadapsar, said,Not only is it a great honour to be a part of this programme,it is also a great learning experience where we met so many teachers from across the state who are doing excellent jobs. More such events should be organised so that there is a platform for teachers to interact with each other.
