Indicating that the battle for the control of the Nationalist Congress Party would continue, NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule said on Monday her party will continue to pursue the case in the Supreme Court strongly.
“The NCP and its symbol have not been handed over to the split faction as they have been made to write below the symbol that it is temporary. It was an injustice to Sharad Pawar so we will continue to pursue the case in the Supreme Court,” Sule said in Pune.
She said the voters have stood strongly behind the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) and the party was very grateful to them. However, she refused to comment on whether her party would be comfortable surrendering the eight Lok Sabha seats it won in the recently concluded parliamentary polls.

Sule hit out at the ruling alliance in the state for the sufferings of citizens in Pune. “They have been in power from the Centre to the civic body for the last seven years but the city roads are flooded. What have they done in so many years?” she asked.
She said crimes have increased in Pune with serious cases of drug seizures, hit-and-run, ‘Koyta gang’, and the exposure of the government machinery at Sassoon Hospital. “Around 35 companies have left the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjewadi. The area has six lakhs jobs for locals and it would be a big loss if they continue to move out. We have decided to step forward to stop the companies from leaving the city,” Sule said.
She added the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has never treated its allies well. “The Congress always treated its alliance very well and supported talent. This BJP is managing ministerial berth on some formula so its allies are likely to suffer,” Sule said.
