MSEDCL urges people to be safe, take all precautions

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has urged citizens to be careful during the rainy season and take special precautions to ensure that the earthing of household electrical systems, street lights in societies or other electrical systems is in proper condition.
Cooperative housing societies should ensure that electrical contractors inspect the earthing and wiring joints of the lights, an official statement issued on Tuesday has said. The power utility also pointed out that in case there are iron stairs in the building, it was important to ensure the earthing of the electricity system at that place is in a good condition.
Electricity meters are installed on the ground floor of most of the buildings and it is observed that there is a lack of water drainage system at some places due to which water gets accumulated.
