THE BJP is not leaving any stone unturned in promoting its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi,as his initiative to build the statue of unity has reached the state with Gujarat Revenue Minister Anandi Patel taking up a state-wide tour.
BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has resolved to build the statue of unity,a monument of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Everyone is aware of his style of working to reach his set goals. He has proved it in Gujarat, said city BJP chief Anil Shirole at a press conference organised by the city wing of Sardar Vallabhai Patel Ekatmata Trust.
Anandi has been assigned the responsibility of creating awareness about the initiative in the state. Anandi will be in the city on December 8. She will make a presentation on the initiative, while appealing to citizens from western Maharashtra to participate, said Hari Shah, convenor of the trust.
He added that Anandi would apprise people about the various activities that will be taken up by the trust to promote the initiative. We are inviting professionals, youths, labourers, farmers and industrialists to participate in the initiative. It will be non-political and will not involve any raising of funds, Shah said.
As part of the awareness campaign, there will be a run for unity in the city on December 15. The trust will also hold essay-writing competitions on Patel in schools. Special efforts are being made to reach out to farmers and urge them to participate in the initiative. Select farmer from various places in western Maharashtra will be invited for the gathering so that they spread the message, said Dheeraj Ghate, programme organiser.
This will ensure that the party and its prime ministerial candidate reach every household, said Shirole, adding that the wave in favour of Modi had to be encashed and further pushed till the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The outcome of the Assembly polls of five states would further give a boost to the party to go all out to take control of the Centre,he added.
