Metro Line 3: Ajit Pawar directs officials to repair roads, drainage lines on the stretch

During the meeting, Pawar told officials to expedite the work on Metro Line 3 between Shivajinagar and Aundh. “The Deputy Chief Minister and Pune Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar directed the police to grant 24-hour permission for girder installation during public and government holidays,” officials said.

Pawar emphasised that the roads beneath the integrated double-decker flyover should be well-maintained to avoid traffic congestion.

Pawar also announced that he will personally inspect the Metro work on September 26.

During a review meeting of the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3 project, Pawar discussed various challenges faced by it.

The meeting was also attended by senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department O P Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning Department Rajgopal Deora, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department Asimkumar Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar, and others. Representatives from Pune Metro Line 3 companies also participated via video conference.
