“The Matang community in the state will go with the Republican-Left Democratic Front (RLDF) and not with the Congress-NCP since the two parties have always used the votes of the community to serve their own purposes and not for the development of the community,” said Hanumant Sathe,state chief of Matang Front of Republican Party Of India (Athawale Group).

Sathe was speaking at a meeting of office bearers of Matang Front held in the city at Ahilyashram on Tuesday. Around 200 representatives were present for the meeting that was arranged as a part of preparations for the public rally to be held in Mumbai on September 12. He said around 20,000 party workers of Matang Front would participate in a public rally to be held at Shivaji Park,Mumbai on September 12.

Sathe also pressed the demand for alloting five-acre land to landless Matangs in the state. “There are so many pending demands. The loan taken from Anna Bhau Sathe Board should be waived and the children of Matrang community get free education from class I to the level of graduation,” he said. Office bearers of Republican Party of India (Athawale Group) including senior leader M D Shewale,Anna Vaydande,Vasantrao Marsale and Dada Kharat were present for the meeting.
