This Diwali marked the 12th anniversary of the Care For You Foundation, which celebrated it with children from 12 different orphanages from 12 cities, including Ahmednagar, Pune, Nashik, Belgaum, Bengaluru, Satara, Lonavala, Mumbai, Indore, Jalgaon, Amravati and Akola.
The event was successfully carried out by its project head Vedanti Jumde and coordinators Neha Dedgaonkar Jaggi and Neha Putharan.
To celebrate the festival, the foundation carried out several activities, such as diya painting, a book donation drive and bringing in meals to make them feel at home. Children were also provided with other educational resources and games such as Rubix Cube, Chess, Brainvita and badminton.
Care For You is actively engaged in social work at several places in India and is committed to serving the less privileged, especially orphans, by covering more than 100 orphanages and residents in old age homes.
There is also one more upcoming programme — Hunt for the Secret Superstar Arts competition that will begin this month. It aims to hone the skills and creativity of 250 children by conducting online and offline painting and craft training and workshops.
The entire year of 2024 will be dedicated to training these young artists for the Grand Finale of 2025. The top 50 finalists will be sponsored by Care For You Foundation till they attain their choice of career.
