The Champion Sports Trophy Junior Tennis Championship will commence on Friday at the Navasahyadri Krida Sankul tennis courts here. This tournament is the last event of the 2009-10 season on the city tennis calendar,and has drawn over 275 entries. The competition will conclude on March 4. Tournament director Umesh Bhide said,The event is aimed at promoting tennis at the grassroots level,and we can hope for some interesting tennis action. The tournament is meant for juniors with less than five ranking points under the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association.
