Tech Mahindra created a new record at the ongoing Seventh edition of the Maharashtra Krida Inter-Information Technology Cricket Championship Trophy 2009-2010,by posting a unprecedented total of 227 runs in 25 overs to overwhelm their opponents MindTree in all departments of the game.

Batting first at the AFK grounds,the Tech Mahindra team under Pushkar Ogale and Sagar Das scored at a fast pace to set the pace for the innings. Valuable contributions from middle order batsmen Amit Pandey (49),Sachin Pimprikar (33) also ensured that they took the Mind Tree bowlers to the cleaners. Ogale scored a quickfire 55 off 36 balls,but a big contributor outside the good batting was the wayward bowling of the Mind Tree team,who gave away 28 runs as extras during the Tech Mahindra innings. Coming in to bat second,the Mind Tree batsmen never looked to be in the contention as they were skittled out for a paltry total of 61 runs in 13 overs.

The only batsman who stood up to the challenge was Rahul Patil who scored 21 off 18 balls. For the bowlers,the major chunk of the damage was done by Jagyot Singh and Sacheen Kulkarni who took three and two wickets respectively.
