HSC Examination: IT paper will be held between March 20-23, says board chairman

The Information Technology (IT) paper of the ongoing Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) will be held between March 20 and 23, the chairman of the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Examination (MSBSHSE) clarified. Earlier, there was some confusion among the students about the examination date for this paper.

“The IT exam will be held towards the end from March 20 to March 23. The respective colleges will be allotting slots and holding the exams,” Sharad Gosavi, Chairman, MSBSHSE said.

Earlier, speaking to the Indian Express on Thursday, a student said it would be conducted on February 21, while several parents said that there was no clarity. They maintained that they had not been informed about the dates yet. A student, Harsh said, “We have not been informed yet but they will send it on WhatsApp soon.”

Maharashtra HSC exams started on February 21 and it will continue till March 19. The first shift of the exam is from 11 am to 2 pm and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The Class 12 examinations are being held in 3,320 centres in the state. As many as 15,13,909 students are expected to appear for the Class 12 exams, an increase compared to last year’s 14,57,293 students who had appeared for it.
