Homage paid to Kargil heroes

The Southern Command on Thursday observed the Kargil Diwas. The wreath laying ceremony was led by Lt Gen AK Singh,GOC-in-C,Southern Command and was attended by senior functionaries. Lt Gen A K Singh laid the wreath at the National War Memorial in Pune to pay homage to all the soldiers who had sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War.

The Army Commander said the victory in Kargil was an achievement of which the nation is proud of and all the soldiers and citizens must rededicate themselves to the national cause.
