Even today there are no competitors in this segment. The videos are conceptualised to suit training modules and are dramatised. Companies and business schools use the videos for training sessions,” he said.

Clients include automotive majors like Tata Motors,Mercedes-Benz,Mahindra and Mahindra to IT companies like HCL Infosystems,Reliance Infocom,Seimens Information System among others.

It also provides customised contents for training modules of companies. “During economic slowdown the demand from companies for training videos were high since it was one of the cost-effective ways to offer management training,” said Desai, who has completed a TV production course from Film and Television Institute of India in 2006 and has a degree in Mass Communication.

The format in his films is docu-drama and his company has come up with 10 management training videos including the latest,“The Magic of Managerial Creativity’. The video portrays how creativity can make a positive difference to work and overcome tension. It also stresses ‘out of the box’ thinking following techniques in idea generation.

“The video blends humour with typical workplace situations in telling the story of a bored and de-moralised young manager who suddenly comes face to face with his long-forgotten creative self. The young manager’s creative self then helps him understand how imagination can be tapped through different techniques for idea generation,” Desai added.
