Dalvi,Niture crowned PMDTA champions

The tournament was organised by PMDTA at the Balewadi tennis courts.

Yashraj Dalvi and Akanksha Niture both form Pune won the boys and girls singles titles trophy,respectively,at the Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) under-10 state ranking tennis tournament. The tournament was organised by PMDTA at the Balewadi tennis courts.

In the finals of the two-day event,Dalvi accounted for Mayank Doshi 5-3,4-1. Dalvi dominated right from the beginning and secured the wins with some accurate ground strokes. Akanksha Niture scraped past a fighting Smita Walvekar 4-2,5-4 (7-2) to win the title in a match which went right down to the wire.

The prizes were given away by PMDTA secretary Sunder Iyer,chief referee N Rajshekaran and MSLTA supervisor Avanee Gosavi.
