Cop arrested for stalking, sexually abusing 10-yr-old

A 38-YEAR-OLD police constable posted at a police station in Pune Rural was arrested on charges of stalking and sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in Pune district.

An FIR was registered on October 2 in this regard at a police station in Pune Rural police jurisdiction against the constable identified as Narayan Bhausaheb Barde.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly followed the girl when she was returning home from a coaching class and then sexually abused her.

The girl then narrated the incident to her parents after which they approached the police.

Within an hour of the incident being reported to police, the accused was arrested.
